Black Diamond Tours has guided backcountry days around Niseko since 2003. Touring days go up on skins, and splitboarders are part of the plan from the start. The lift-assisted Powder Hunter and Mushroom Trip days use the resort to save the climb. If you're travelling alone, the scheduled multi-day trips take single bookings and run up to twelve guests with several guides.
Prices stay off the website, so ask by phone or through the inquiry form. Group day trips open for booking seven days out, and the FAQ asks for a two-day minimum. BDT describes the same IFMGA and AMGA supervision and HeliCat Canada membership as Hokkaido Backcountry Club, and both sell seats on the Shimamaki and Chisenupuri cats. Niseko Basecamp rents touring gear from inside the BDT office in Higashiyama. Its own site said it was closed for 2025/26, so confirm rentals before you fly.
