Michiko Aoki founded Mountain Flow in 2014 and lives in Aibetsu at the foot of the Daisetsuzan range. She worked as a park ranger at Asahidake before she started guiding. Her JMGA tickets cover ski guide stage I and mountain guide stage II, and she holds the international mountain leader qualification as well. She guides in Japanese and English.
Private days run six hours and start at ¥40,000 for one rider or ¥60,000 for four. She takes groups to Kurodake and the Tokachidake area and keeps clear of Asahidake in January and February when the ropeway crowds build. The BC Beginner public days on 3 January and 6 February 2027 cost ¥15,000 and cap at four. You need a past avalanche course to join, and you bring your own touring setup.
