Nippon Rent-A-Car meets you at the rental counter by arrival gate 3 on the first floor of the domestic terminal. A shuttle then takes 10 to 15 minutes to reach the office in Bibi. Give your airline and flight number when you book, because flights landing outside office hours can't be booked.
Every Hokkaido car runs on winter tires from 1 November to 20 April, and a winter season rate is added to the base price. Ski carriers and chains aren't available. In heavy snow some expressway and national route sections require chains even on winter tires, so check road conditions before you set out. Staff support English, Chinese, Korean and Thai, and a 24-hour phone interpreter backs them up.
