Niseko Photography & Guiding sends a photographer out with the guide, and the retouched files reach your inbox within the week. A backcountry day for up to five costs ¥160,000 with transport from your accommodation. Adding the photographer takes it to ¥220,000. Bring your own splitboard or touring skis along with a beacon, shovel, probe and pack, and the office will help sort rentals if you're short.
Resort days run three or six hours with photos included, and the guide picks the resort that suits the day's snow. For cat days the company works only with Hokkaido Backcountry Club. A seat costs ¥121,000 with lunch, an onsen ticket, avalanche gear and door-to-door transport in the price. The company says its guides do not teach, so book coaching elsewhere.
