Niseko Zen prices everything for a private group of up to four, and most days come to ¥160,000 before lift tickets and rentals. The menu reaches past the range. A day around Sapporo and Otaru runs up to ten hours for ¥170,000, and the central Hokkaido trip books three straight days at ¥175,000 each for Furano and the Daisetsuzan volcanoes.
Boarders tour on a splitboard or on snowshoes with collapsible poles. The company keeps a small splitboard fleet that you reserve by email at least a day ahead. Every backcountry day needs a three-antenna beacon, shovel, probe and a pack of 20 litres or more, and the set rents for ¥5,500 a day. A fifth or sixth rider brings a tail guide at ¥70,000.
