TENGU runs its cats on the old Kita-Taisetsu ski area above Shirataki. The lifts there stopped after the 2009/10 season. Suzuki Shokai owns the hill and contracts TENGU to manage it from December to April. Each guide takes up to five guests, and the operation lists IFMGA, JMGA and Japan Avalanche Network affiliations along with HeliCat Canada membership.
A public day costs ¥85,000 with lunch and usually adds up to six or seven runs. Those prices come from a November 2023 update, so confirm them for 2027. Public tours take ages 18 to 69 in groups of three to ten. Anyone younger or older books a private cat at ¥770,000 a day. Bring a board that floats in deep snow, because the guides turn away anything else. Repeat guests who book through the site's own form get 5 percent off.
