Always Niseko

Always Niseko sits in the forest at Kabayama below Hirafu village, and the lifts are about four minutes away by car. The free winter shuttle gets you to the Ace Gondola in about ten minutes and to King in about fifteen. On powder mornings, check the shuttle timetable the night before.
Rooms are compact at 22 square metres, and the 43-square-metre Yotei Suite sleeps four. Only the ground-floor Zen room has a bathtub, so everyone else showers. Some Superior and Zen rooms have fans and no air conditioning.
Elements downstairs serves meals all day. A standard room with breakfast cost about ¥34,000 a night in January 2024, and the peak weeks over New Year and in February carry a five-night minimum. For a soak, ride the shuttle up to the village and pay for a day bath.
