Tokachidake is at volcanic alert level 3
The Japan Meteorological Agency raised Tokachidake to level 3 on 12 September 2026, which restricts entry around the crater. Fukiage Onsen Hakugin-so and the Fukiage Roten-no-yu outdoor bath are closed, and Ryounkaku has asked guests who couldn't evacuate quickly to stay away for now. Check the JMA bulletin before you plan any tour on the Tokachi range.

Natulux is the hotel to pick if you're arriving in Furano by rail. It's a minute's walk from JR Furano Station, and downtown bars and restaurants are close by. Asahikawa Airport is about 50 minutes by car. Rooms lean on soft furnishings and big windows, and the Supreme Twins add a sofa set and a proper desk.
The condominium annex has kitchens and washing machines for longer stays. The baths use artificial spring water made with mineral stones and ceramic balls. The men's side has a sauna, and women get a ganbanyoku (heated stone bed) for ¥1,100 an hour if you book ahead.
