The Stay Sapporo reopened as Grand Hostel LDK Sapporo on 10 April 2025, so older reviews and blog posts still use the old name. LDK stands for living, dining and kitchen. The building leans into that with lounges open around the clock on the 3rd and 10th floors and kitchens big enough to cook whatever you carried back from the supermarket.
Beds range from women-only and mixed dorms to private rooms that sleep up to six. That suits a crew splitting costs. Showers are on every floor, and if you want a proper soak there is a unit bath on the 10th floor you can rent. Washers and dryers sit up there too.
Susukino subway station is eight minutes away on foot. By car, Teine is about 40 minutes and Kokusai a little over an hour.
