Kanronomori stands in the woods at Niseko Konbu Onsen, and Moiwa's lifts are a few minutes up the road. Couples should book one of the two fourth-floor special rooms with a private indoor onsen, or the ground-floor special room that has its own rotenburo. They sleep up to five, so a small crew can split the cost.
The water comes from a spring in the bed of a tributary of the Niseko Anbetsu River and carries a faint smell of sulfur. It runs almost clear. The Mori no Tenku rooftop rotenburo and the large indoor bath swap between men and women each day, so you get both over a two-night stay. Groups can hire a private bath with its own sauna for 90 minutes, and day visitors pay ¥1,800 to bathe.
Dinner is a Japanese-Western half buffet at Restaurant Karinet, and local musicians play in the lobby from 19:30 every night. Most of the rooms are Japanese-Western twins of 44 square metres. The hotel's ski shuttle was still listed as in preparation for 2026/27 when we checked, so plan on driving to the lifts.
