Setsu Niseko

Setsu opened in 2022 on the main road through Hirafu, and the gondola is a five-to-ten-minute walk up the hill. A free shuttle loops to the gondolas about every 20 minutes. You'll want it on rental days, because hauling skis and boots up that slope gets old by Tuesday. The big Lawson across the road covers beer and onigiri.
Every suite has a kitchen and a living area, and the sizes run from studios up to four-bedroom penthouses. Ask for a unit facing Mount Yotei. Some of the larger suites have interior bedrooms without windows, so check the floor plan before you book for a group.
The wellness centre covers 750 square metres with indoor and outdoor onsen baths plus saunas, and four private onsen rooms can be reserved. Book bath times early in peak weeks. Dinner can be a bowl of AFURI ramen or the counter at Tempura Araki, and Shinonome Niseko does Edomae seafood omakase for the big night. Luke's Alpine Club grills steaks. For something lighter, méli mélo serves all day. The popular tables fill fast, so reserve dinners when you book the room. The hotel holds a Michelin Key.
