Skye Niseko
¥104,000 a night
Skye's ski valet doors open onto the slope, and you can slide from them to the King Gondola and the King Holiday Pair Lift. The Ace Gondola is a short walk away. On deep mornings the hotel shuttle gets you to the GoSnow base at King in under five minutes. Winter bookings include breakfast.
The suites range from Yotei-view studios to four-bedroom apartments finished in stone and wood. Penthouse guests get an onsen tub up on their own roof. A Yotei-view studio cost about ¥104,000 a night in January 2024, and a two-bedroom suite for four ran near ¥195,000.
Hotel guests have the natural hot spring to themselves. The men's and women's sides each have an indoor bath and a Finnish sauna with a cold plunge beside it, and three private onsen rooms can be reserved for 50 minutes at no charge. Kumo on the ground floor cooks izakaya-style Japanese food from breakfast through après, so book ahead for dinner. Parking is limited and has to be reserved.
