Kaihorow is where you sleep when the day splits between Kiroro powder and Otaru sushi. Kiroro is roughly 40 minutes up the hill by car, and the Otaru interchange is seven minutes away. The canal district sits a short walk downhill, so dinner never involves the car keys.
Rooms are plain and practical. The deluxe quads hold a crew and its gear without anyone sleeping next to a board bag, and breakfast comes with the room. Parking costs ¥1,200 a night in the hotel's own lot and can't be reserved, so arrive early if you are driving. Check-in runs 15:00–22:00, and the city adds its accommodation tax at the desk.
