The Vale Niseko
¥84,000 a night
The Vale opened as Niseko's first condotel and it still holds one of the best spots in Hirafu. You walk out onto the Ace Family run and the Ace Family Quad loads about a minute away. The hotel runs free transfers to and from the Hirafu Welcome Centre.
Book a Yotei suite for the view or an onsen suite for a private tub on the balcony looking up the slope. Hotel rooms and studios sleep two. The one-bedroom suites with a tatami or bunk room take a family of up to six, and the three-bedroom Yotei Panorama Penthouse stretches to 244 square metres.
Downstairs there's a heated outdoor pool. The communal onsen and its sauna run from 20 December to 15 April and keep short hours (7 to 10 a.m. and 1 to 10 p.m.), so plan your soak around them. Vale Bar & Grill does breakfast through après. In January 2024 a deluxe hotel room with breakfast cost about ¥84,000 a night with a five-night minimum.
