The Westin Rusutsu Resort

Book the Westin if you came to Rusutsu for East Mountain. The Tower Pair lift loads at the hotel and takes you up onto East Mountain, and a monorail runs about five minutes over to the Resort Hotel and the West Mountain lifts. You can buy East Mountain passes at the Tower Pair.
All 210 rooms are two-level maisonettes of 76 square metres or more, and each has a kitchenette and fold-down wall beds for extra bodies. Standard rooms sit on the lower floors and Luxury rooms take the upper-floor panoramas. Executive rooms fall in between. Big crews should look at the Luxury Five Bed, because it sleeps seven in 108 square metres.
The natural hot spring on the second floor has indoor baths, dry saunas, an open-air bath lit blue at night and an aroma jacuzzi. Hotel guests bathe free from 5 to 10 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. The Atrium runs the buffet and Kazahana covers Japanese food and teppanyaki. For a quick bowl after the lifts close, go to B Noodle Bar. Winter stays for 2026/27 run from 1 December to 30 March.
