Hoshino Resorts Tomamu The Tower
¥24,600 a night
The Tower is the more affordable of the two Hoshino hotels at Tomamu, and it stands in the middle of the resort beside the GAO Outdoor Center. Rooms run from standard twins up to family rooms for five. Families with toddlers can book shoes-off Baby's Rooms with low beds, and there's a salmon-themed room for the kids who insist.
Bathing happens at Kirin-no-Yu. Hotel guests ride the resort shuttle there and get in free for the snow-view outdoor bath and a 90°C sauna. Kirin-no-Yu doesn't use hot spring water, and tattoos must be covered with stickers.
This season the hotel opens from 1 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, and check-in starts at 15:00. The free shuttle meets trains at JR Tomamu Station. Sign up for the Experts Only Powder Area if you want the ungroomed terrain, and Sahoro is about half an hour away for a change of scene.
