The Lake View Toya Nonokaze Resort

Every room at Nonokaze looks across Lake Toya, and from the front of the building Mount Yotei rises on the far side. The headline bath is called TENQOO. It's an open-air pool built so the water appears to spill into the lake, and on a still evening the line between them disappears.
A second bath called EZOFUJI looks toward Yotei, and Showa-no-yu dresses up as an old neighbourhood sento (public bath) for fun. Private baths with lake views can be reserved. Guests with visible tattoos are kept out of the public baths, so book a private bath or a room with its own view bath.
Dinner runs four ways. You can eat at the lake-view buffet, take kaiseki in a private room, order the French-Japanese menu or book the restaurant where dogs can sit with you. The buffet serves 17:00–21:00, and buffet-plan guests who check in after 20:30 lose the meal. Rusutsu is about 35 minutes north, and reserved shuttle buses come in from Sapporo Station and New Chitose.
