The Windsor Hotel Toya Resort & Spa

The Windsor sits on the ridge between Lake Toya and Uchiura Bay. It hosted the G8 summit in 2008, and the biggest suites still carry the summit's name. From late December 2026 the hotel joins IHG's Vignette Collection, so expect the name on booking sites to change.
From December to March the hotel runs its own slope with a lift, and you can ski out of the building. It suits a warm-up lap or a day with the kids. New for 2026/27 is a private-slope package that reserves the hill for your first tracks. For proper terrain, Rusutsu is about 40 minutes away and Niseko about an hour and a quarter.
The onsen is built in sukiya style. A cypress bath and a stone bath swap between men and women every day. The open-air bath sits on the cypress side, and both sides have a sauna. Tattoos keep you out of the onsen and the pool.
