Niseko Annupuri Onsen Yugokorotei

Yugokorotei is a 17-room inn on the road below Annupuri, and people book it for the water. The spring comes out of the ground at 49°C and runs into the baths with nothing added. Overnight guests can use the outdoor bath around the clock, so you can sit in it at midnight while the snow comes down.

The rooms are Japanese-style. Only the Japanese-Western rooms have their own bath and toilet, so book one of those if you'd rather not pad down the corridor at night. Dinner runs from 18:00 to 20:00 and must be reserved, as does the Japanese breakfast.

In winter a free shuttle runs the three minutes up to Annupuri if you reserve it, and the Niseko area circuit bus stops at the Moiwa crossroads out front. Day visitors can bathe from 6 a.m. to midnight. The tonkatsu lunch counter was closed for a staff shortage when we checked, so don't plan lunch around it.
