Carstay
カーステイ
Carstay is a camper-sharing marketplace with Hokkaido listings and paid overnight stations, including a ski-resort car park at Canmore Ski Village, but winter readiness has to be checked listing by listing.

Carstay works like a short-term rental marketplace for campers. Owners around Chitose, Eniwa and Sapporo list vans with their own prices, and the platform handles insurance and booking. In December 2025 it began selling overnight stations in ski-resort car parks with a lift ticket bundled, and Canmore Ski Village near Asahikawa was the Hokkaido site named at launch.
Because every van belongs to someone different, read each listing for 4WD, studless tyres and an engine-off heater, and message the owner if any of the three is missing. Many of the cheaper Hokkaido listings are kei vans that suit summer better.
What it does well
- + Lists Hokkaido campers from Chitose, Eniwa and Sapporo owners
- + Sells overnight Carstay Stations, including a ski-resort car park with a lift-ticket package
What to watch for
- – Winter equipment differs on every listing
- – Many listings are kei vans with no stated 4WD or heater
