Getting there
In Kyogoku town beside Fukidashi Park, on main roads about 20 minutes from Kutchan.
Kyogoku sits on the northeast side of Yotei, and the town bath stands beside Fukidashi Park, where water filtered through the volcano pours out of the rock. Fill your bottles there before you go in.
From the outdoor tub you look across at Yotei, and on a clear evening after Hanazono that view earns the twenty-minute drive. The water is a mild, slightly salty sulphate spring that the town heats and recirculates. Entry is ¥800 and there's a dry sauna.
Check dates before you plan on it this season. The building closed on 1 September 2026 for renovation, and the town expects to open again in early December.
