Highland Furano

Highland Furano stands on the slope above town next to Furano's biggest lavender field. In summer the outdoor bath looks straight onto the purple rows, and in winter you get snowfields with the Tokachidake range across the valley. Entry is ¥650 and the doors stay open until eleven at night.

The hotel bills its water as the only natural spring in Furano city. It's a soft, weakly alkaline water that comes up cold and gets heated, gentle enough for a long sit. A Western-style and a Japanese-style bathroom swap between men and women each day, and both have a jacuzzi and a sauna.

Mornings work too, at ¥550 between six and eight, which gets you in and out before first chair. The hotel closes for maintenance from 1 to 20 November 2026. A private bath can be booked by the hour.
